This morning Mme. Helbecque hosted a school assembly to celebrate Earth Day. We heard some very interesting facts from students in the Earth Care Club and watched an interesting slide show.
Next, we continued to compare Mixed numbers and improper fractions, then we worked on the white boards to explore equivalent fractions and the relationship between fractions, decimal numbers and percentages. For example, 5% = 0.005 = 5/100 (or 1/20).
Finally, the students worked on their travel brochures. All groups are expected to have their information collected and sorted by 9:00 AM Thursday, so we can have our travel expo during second block.
