Sharing in our Groups and Looking at Angles

Hello,

This morning, we shared in our Literature Circles for the first time. Most of the students did very well and it was a good learning experience for everyone. We talked about how we could improve our work and the importance of time management, to ensure that we have our work completed, and we aren't letting down the other members of our group.

The students should now be reading their assigned pages for week two and completing their new jobs for next Tuesday. Today, three students did not have their work finished and two students were absent. Hopefully, we can have perfect attendance and task completion for our second literature circle, which we will present on January 27th.

In Math, the students are examining acute and obtuse angles and they are starting to construct angles. The double sided sheet that I handed out yesterday (sides and vertices, and acute and obtuse angles) is for homework tonight. I also gave out two other sheets dealing with angles, so the students are welcome to work ahead.

Two more days to bring in your pizza order forms.

Have a good night.

Mr. Skinner
